Group Classes

•  Leash Manners  (Prerequisite: Initial Consultation Lesson)

In this class, dogs will begin to learn walking on a loose leash in highly distracting environments. Heel will be introduced, with proper position, attention and automatic sit. The next layer in Leash Manners, will be more advanced skills on heel. 

• Basic Dog Obedience (Prerequisite: Initial Consultation Lesson) 

This class will focus on the beginning layers of the following behaviors:

We will begin to teach your dog impulse control which will be useful in many situations and helps your dog wait patiently for things that he really wants: food, squirrels, food, rabbits, food, toys... you get the point.

We will begin to learn how to incorporate the 3 D's (distance distraction and duration) and grow them with basic behaviors.     

We will utilize the game-based training to grow the reliable recall when called from greater distances, and with greater distractions. 

We will begin to learn to incorporate kisses and visits  without jumping up and to wait for permission before greeting other people or dogs on leash. 

We will begin to teach dogs to respect boundaries by incorporateing house, place and boundary games.  Growing the layers of behaviors  to wait for permission before passing through doors or gates. In addition, dogs will learn to go to a place or crate (house) on cue, especially helpful  during meals, and when greeting a visitor at the front door. 

• Intermediate/Advanced Dog Obedience (Prerequisite: Basic dog Obedience) 

This class will grow the layers of the behaviors that are learned in the Basic Dog Obedience Class.  We will add distance, distraction and duration to perfect the sit and down. In addition, dogs will learn Stand, and an emergency Sit or Down.
